It would be nice to see this forum become one where
we can share some thoughts without having to wait a
week before anyone else visits the board.
Extremeskins is way to hectic...so I'm going to give
this another shot...because I miss being able to
discuss Skins football with other true fans.
Green and Monk making the Hall is just great. What
else can be said?
As for the coaching search...my enthusiasm has been
tempered the entire search because we all know that
any coach will be hampered by the fact that he will
not have control over personnel moves, not will he
have the benefit of a GM. Cerrato simply hasn't
gotten the job done and Snyder probably couldn't make
the playoffs in a rookie fantasy football league.
Unless the Skins already know who the next coach
is...and recieved that coach's input on the OC and DC
positions...the new coach will already be at a
disadvantage.
The backlash from fans has been so intense that
dispite conventional wisdom I predict that Fassel
will not be coming. (If he was...he'd already have
been hired).
Meeks is highly thought of...but I think he's a smoke
screen. (Again...he would have already been hired).
I think the job will either be given to Mariucci or
Spags...with the latter's interview deciding things.
I think I'd be happiest if Spags were hired because
he's young and seems to be innovative. (I'm just not
sold on Mooch's history).
I also thought that Grim should have been more of a
contender.
Any thoughts?
