Subject: My issue with the hiring of Jim Zorn....

is not the actual hiring of him, it is the timing.

3 weeks ago we interviewed Jim Zorn and he was
assistant coach material. Now, 3 weeks later, we
decide that he is head coach material. Did Zorn
suddenly become smarter? Was 3 weeks as offensive
coordinator a significant qualification?

If the Redskins hired him as head coach 3 weeks ago I
wouldn't be excited but I would be able to get behind
it, but now I find it ridiculous. I certainly wish him
luck and maybe he is the best hire, but I'm not buying
their we thought he was head coach material when we
initially interviewed him crap.

Aside: You don't let the fans run the team. We didn't
sit in the interviews so we know nothing about Fassel
except he took a crappy Giants team to the Super Bowl
and had a winning record against the NFC East. If you
feel he is the best hire after interviews then hire
him. Don't waffle because of the fans. Especially
after you hire him assistant coaches.

Our franchise truly is inept.
