If you take the time to google the news stories from Britain, France and beyond in Europe, it’s astounding we can call these people allies. The British Independent is actually referring to the US air drop as "occupying the Haitian palace." In reality, the US landed on the palace lawn because it’s the only secure open area. I hate europe. Anyone else?

I guess too many European politicians are upset because we think that medical supplies are more important than their photo ops.

Yes, best to get independent carrier, and never even consider the GM insurance or financing, as I have had nothing but trouble with both of their systems.
GM’s book keeping sucks, and they even tried to re-posses a car I had paid off a year prior, four months in advance with never a late payment, and mid term in a insurance policy they raised my premium over 25%.
I had paid for the whole year in advance and about six months it the term they sent me a bill for the additional money then cancelled my policy because i would not stand for the charge. I lost six months of paid for coverage.

i bought a new truck, i am a first time car buyer and got the independent insurance agent the dealer had…. the agent told me that he was informed by the insurance agent that i will have a one (1) year coverage for the auto insurance as well as the amount of my monthly premium.. when i got the policy i was shocked to find out i only got six months coverage for the insurance and my monthly premium increased… they got PROGRESSIVE as the insurance company. i have already paid the required "first six months" (according to the agent) insurance premium and have to pay monthly for the remaining 6 months… which is not the case when i got my policy…

is there a way how to handle, change this car insurance that i got? if not how could i send any complain to certain authorities/agencies for this kind of activities?

You need to contact your local consumer protection people. You should have got your own insurance. Why pay the dealer for a cut of insurance, financing, etc?

I am curious and have gotten asolutely no straight answers at Govt websites. As an independent Contractor / Self Employed person, I wonder if it is required for me to purchase my own Workmen’s Comp coverage package. Not is it recommended, but is it REQUIRED?

Worker’s comp is really a liability protection policy. As an independent contractor, you don’t have any employees you might be liable to.

im an independent voter but if ron paul had the coverage that obama and mccain had it would have been a close election. to me ron was the, and still is, a very strong spoken man.

I know its become somewhat popular to just vote for the independent because it shows that you don’t necessarily agree with the democrats or republicans, however Ron Paul was not in my opinion the best candidate of the three. (Obama, McCain, or Paul)

However, Ron Paul is very intelligent, and I don’t believe he would have made a bad president, and if people honestly believe the Republican party is in shambles then I would say if they were more like a Ron Paul republican the party would be saved…

Just remember this is politics, and you are talking about politicians. Its not always the best candidate that wins. Its just the most popular. Just like the most popular celebrities are not necessarily the ones with the most talent.

Look at how little coverage they give when McLaren have admitted foul play, just imagine for a moment, if Ferrari had been on the same situation they would have been crucified even before any verdict. Even the so called ‘independent’ BBC is that same.

No press in the world is impartial. Gone are the days that they reported the news, now they make the news, and they report it as they see fit!
However at least we have a free er press that in some countries like Russia for example. Anyone here from Russia?

I’m really surprised at the number of thumbs-down to perfectly reasonable answers, of which there are only 3 so far. Who are you out there that dislikes hearing the truth as it stands in opposition to the misinformation we are being Fed ? ?

That is why the only way to get real news is from the internet and not the crap that is spoon fed to us that is not news, but propaganda.

I know, I worked in the business of news for ten years, went in with lofty dreams and left ashamed and disillusioned that we are really no better then tabloid trash.

In short, they control just about every aspect of your life, your money, your credit cards, your mortgage, your car loan, student loans, your retirment, etc.
Including having their hands in getting us involved in money making wars.

The smartest thing I ever did was chose to live debt free about 20 years ago. It is amazing how much of our money is eaten up by the Federal Reserve System, and how much more disposable income I had because I made the right choice.

will i recieve a good amount of Financial aid?

You will be able to file as in Independent since you have a child.

Completing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) generates an EFC (Expected Family Contribution). Schools use the EFC in conjunction with the COA (Cost of Attendance) to determine a student’s financial aid package.

If you decide to go back to school within the 0708 school year, you will have to provide 2006 tax information. So, if you worked in 2006 but are not/have not worked in 2007, your EFC will be higher for the 0708 school year than it will be for 0809.

Keep in mind, too, that aside from any federal grants you may be eligible for, many institutional scholarships have already been given out for 0708. If you decide to go back in the 0809 school year, you may receive more if you apply for financial aid by the school’s priority deadline (usually in the Spring (so for Fall 2008, most schools will have application deadline’s for March – May 2008)). Check with your school to see if you need to complete an "in-house" application in addition to the FAFSA; most school’s have their 0809 in-house applications available October/November while the FAFSA will be available after January 1, 2008.

Talk to a financial aid officer at the school you wish to attend for more information/guidance. Good luck!!
